What are the biggest challenges facing the profession?

In NY the biggest challenge is attaining formal recognition from the state.  On both a national and state level the biggest challenge is the lack of member participation in their professional organizations and the profession as a whole.

What experiences, ideas, connection or resources do you have that would allow you to help with those challenges?

I believe my enthusiasm for the profession coupled with good people skills can help attract fellow CRNAs into our professional practices and help get formal recognition in NYS.

Name one skill or strength you possess that is unmatched by your colleagues or peers

My perseverance and power of persuasion

What do you love about being a CRNA? What drew you to the profession?

I love the autonomy our profession provides and the trust our patients have in us to care for them at their most vulnerable times.

Please provide at least one idea you believe will engage or involve members to advance NYSANA’s mission.

Reaching out to members through the educational districts more often will hopefully get a grassroots effort started to mobilize membership.
