What are the biggest challenges facing the profession?

Member apathy, how do we get people to understand the importance of protecting their careers?

What experiences, ideas, connection or resources do you have that would allow you to help with those challenges?

I’m an educator, so I try to teach the next generation of the importance of involvement! I’m also good at convincing previous students the importance of getting involved. I’m proud of the grads who have come back to assist NYSANA’s mission!

Name one skill or strength you possess that is unmatched by your colleagues or peers

Relentless drive when I want something, like our bill to pass.

What do you love about being a CRNA? What drew you to the profession?

I love the whole OR environment, 1 patient at a time on their scariest day.

Please provide at least one idea you believe will engage or involve members to advance NYSANA’s mission.

I like to engage through fun and friendship. It’s hard to say no when you can make new friends and find value in what you’re doing.
